Claim escrowed funds

A validator can settle your bond without you, before or after maturity, always at its full maturity value. The validator does this to change locked terms, to settle a matured bond its holder never redeemed, or to work out of a default. Your payment does not go to your wallet directly, it goes into the redemption escrow contract, credited to you, and waits there.

The bond itself is burned when this happens, so it leaves your portfolio. In its place a banner shows at the top of the app, “You have … ETH” “from validator-redeemed bonds. Claim it from your wallet.” Its Dismiss button hides it in this browser until the escrowed amount changes, and your credit stays in the escrow.

The claim itself is in the wallet menu, behind your address at the top of the app. While the escrow holds a credit for you, the menu’s Actions begin with Claim · … ETH, with your amount filled in. Press it and the Claim panel opens in the menu’s place. It shows the total under You’ll receive and the line “Funds were deposited by validators who redeemed your bonds.” The field Recipient address opens on your connected wallet and takes any other address you enter. The line under it reads “Funds will be sent to this address.”, or in red “Enter a valid Ethereum address (0x followed by 40 hex characters).”, and Claim Funds stays held until the address is valid.

Press Claim Funds. The button reads Confirm in wallet while your wallet asks, Processing… while the transaction is in flight and Syncing… until the app reads the escrow as empty. The toast “Funds claimed” appears at the receipt, and the ETH is at the address you chose. One claim collects everything credited to you, across all validator-redeemed bonds you held. The menu then shows its list again without the claim entry, and the banner is gone.

There is no deadline. The escrow holds your credit until you claim it, and the wallet menu carries the claim entry for as long as it does.
